James Leggett: Gold Level Pyramid Award

American sales associate James Leggett was recently awarded the PPAI 2022 Pyramid Award for Client Branding at the gold level! First introduced in 1958, the PPAI Pyramid Award recognizes promotional products businesses and helps shine the spotlight on the collaborative business model unique to our industry.

The campaign aimed to increase brand awareness for First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO). While growing their followers on Instagram, they co-branded giveaway items and tapped into their influencers’ audiences. Their mission was to combat the mentality that seven in ten girls have, that they weren’t good enough, or don’t measure up in some way.

“We have learned that unboxing giveaways are often much more successful than even giving away cash,” explained FNBO representative, Bridget Hadfield. “People love to win swag! We sent bright, bold, and fun curated boxes to the influencers, one for them and one to giveaway to one of their followers.”

The items included in the box:

  • socks trucker hat
  • Girls Support Girls notebook
  • Girls Support Girls T-shirt
  • sunglasses
  • drink can cover
  • reusable water bottle
  • scrunchie
  • tech stickers

Influencers were asked to post teasers starting the second week of September 2021 and going through October 9 before the giveaway post on October 11 for International Day of the Girl.

The Girls Support Girls items were a big hit, with many employees and customers asking if they can buy the items. By partnering with American Solutions for Business, FNBO was able to curate custom boxes that include trendy items people really want and use, making a big impact on their social media giveaway strategy. To date, James and his team have worked with supply chain partners to customize seasonal boxes, boxes to help promote a product, and boxes that help promote small businesses, and plan to continue the program because of the great success.
