Vendor Advisory Spotlight | Kevin Walsh

How do you define the mission and purpose of your role within your organization?

My mission and purpose is a combination of core responsibilities. Those include: being a pioneer – setting a course for our organization’s success; being the brand steward – aligning our reseller partner’s needs to the goals and expectations of our team; providing inspiration and motivation – allowing our team to grow personally & professionally; and finally, as a defender – keeping watch and protecting our company and team from potential threats.

What motivates you to keep growing in your work and professional knowledge?

I’m a curious person by nature. It’s a relentless quality but one that I’ve come to appreciate. What I’ve learned in my career is that every person I’ve encountered has something they can teach me, if I’m curious enough to ask. Depositing some of my time and interest in individuals always pays tremendous dividends. It might sound simple, but it’s been a motivator to me on my journey, and it seems to also have a positive impact on those that I’ve had the pleasure to know.

What are your favorite hobbies and activities?

Growing up in NH, I’ve been a lifelong fan of New England sports – which was painful for many decades but much more rewarding this century. I’ve been a huge audiophile all my life, even having the opportunity early in my career to produce merchandise for major acts like Garth Brooks, Elton John, Brooks & Dunn and the Goo Goo Dolls. I’m an aspiring, but frustrated, golfer for nearly 40 years and I love to travel – everywhere – with my family and best friend, my wife, Jamie.
