Situation:

A rapidly expanding large building material distributor sought innovative solutions to strengthen connectivity across its extensive network of over 500 locations and 15,000 associates. Their primary focus was attracting, welcoming and retaining employees in an efficient and effective way without tying up too many internal resources.

The products included a tumbler, notebook, high quality pen, mouse pad with core values and tech items. In addition to product, American Solutions for Business supplied the customer with branded boxes showcasing the company logo and a warm welcome message. American Solutions for Business helped the distributor with packaging, kitting and fulfillment. The kits were prepared in advance to ensure the new employees would receive their welcome gift prior to their start date.    

Success:

The new hire kit was a resounding success. Upon receiving the kit, recipients used the gift code inside the lid to select two apparel items of their choice online, which were produced on demand after checkout. This hybrid model ensured that recipients received an immediate gift while allowing them to personalize apparel. The overall gifting experience was positive, creating an opportunity for employees to connect with their HR team.
