American Solutions for Business and Wise Partner on Food Drive Efforts

American Solutions for Business came together with business partner, Wise, to support the country’s largest one-day food drive, Stamp Out Hunger® taking place on May 14, 2022. ASB was one of the many sponsors, while Wise provided 35,000 labels for the bags. This food drive started in 1983 and has since continued to feed millions of Americans every year.

This annual event is very important for stocking ICA’s shelves in the summer months. In previous years, this event alone has resulted in over 60,000 pounds of food donated to ICA in one single day. That can provide groceries to around 2,000 of our neighbors.

The week of the event, postal carriers dropped bags in front of homes to be filled with nonperishable food items. They were then picked up by volunteers on the morning of the drive. American sales associate, Martha Mitchell was one of he event volunteers and organized the contribution from Wise.

“Wise is pleased to have participated in this opportunity to give back to the community and to partner with the amazing associates and staff of American Solutions for Business,” expressed Randy Alberton, Regional Sales Manger for Wise. “We were honored to share in American’s culture of helping those in need”.

The community came together by not only donating food items, but also donating their time. Schools, churches, fire stations and stores collected food items, put labels on bags and unloaded food.

“It’s been a great experience over the years to work with this food drive and see the community pull together,” expressed Martha. “It’s a good feeling to know we’ve made a difference.”
