American Solutions for Business announced that Simi Kasakwe will be the new Public Relations Specialist.
“I am so excited to use my Communications background in such a promising career,” shares Simi. “Although I’m new to the industry, I’ve always been fascinated with how the process from start to finish of a product happens. Working at American, I’ll be able to ask all the questions I need to. I already know I’m going to love being a part of this work family!”
Since graduating from Minnesota State University Moorhead, Simi has lived and worked in Fargo, North Dakota as a Case Manager for the state of North Dakota. She also founded, Motherland Health, a nonprofit organization that focuses on the promotion of free mental health services.
At ASB, she is tasked with spearheading internal and external communication, social media strategy and industry involvement and advocacy.
Taylor Borst, Director of Marketing, Events & Public Relations, adds, “We are so lucky to have Simi on our team! Her skills in organization, writing, public speaking, digital storytelling and leadership are vital to the success of our team and organization moving forward. I’m confident she will accomplish great things here.”

- Family/Hobbies: My fiancé is a native of Glenwood, so it was an easy transition for my daughters and I from Fargo. We love spending time outside, cooking and watching movies. Can’t wait to experience the Minnesota summers again!
