“I am honored to join the ASB Vendor Advisory Board. I look forward to working with my colleagues to enhance the experience of American Solutions for Business for both their sales associates and supplier partners.” – Brian Deissroth

How do you define the mission and purpose of your role within your organization?

In one word: leadership. We are looking to grow, to become the premier apparel partner, not just the premier uniform partner. To achieve this, I must cultivate success within our team and help foster growth with our distributor partners. I love educating our clients and prospects on the value of partnering with us, and equally, I look forward to providing opportunities for the next generation of associates who will continue to lead our team to success in the years to come.

I also see myself as an innovator. I like to analyze current models and ask: What can we do better? How can we improve processes and the customer experience? Ultimately, my goal is to make the organization more successful in every possible way. The organization’s success, in turn, is my success and the success of the community in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The more successful we are, the more opportunities we can provide to current and future associates and to our community at large.

What motivates you to keep growing in your work and professional knowledge?

I am not someone who is comfortable with the status quo. During the Covid pandemic, I decided to double down and reinvest in my education, pursuing an MBA, and graduated in 2022 from North Greenville University. I follow a simple philosophy each day: be better than yesterday. My goal is to help our team achieve the greatest success possible.

My mother instilled a value in me at a very young age: if you’re not learning, you’re not living. If I can learn something new and apply it to my professional and personal life every day, then I have grown. I apply that same mindset to my pursuit of growth at Edwards. We will listen, we will learn, we will implement change, and we will grow.

My children also motivate me to succeed. I want to provide them with a life that is less strenuous than mine while exemplifying the benefits of hard work. I am determined to instill in my girls the values that will allow them to succeed without relying on another individual or entity.

What are your favorite hobbies and activities?

At this stage of my life, my goal is to spend as much time as possible with my beautiful daughters. Any day, activity, or moment with Charlotte and Annabel surpasses anything else imaginable. Aside from spending time with my daughters and family, I enjoy Philadelphia sports. Nothing beats a Sunday afternoon at home with my family, watching my beloved Philadelphia Eagles (and boy, do I love when they beat the Dallas Cowboys 😊). I’m deeply passionate about my Eagles, Flyers, and Phillies.

I grew up playing high-level hockey, which taught me the value of trusting others and working together to succeed. Teamwork makes the dream work. I also love traveling, which shouldn’t surprise anyone who knows me. Experiencing new cultures, traditions, and seeing the world enriches my life. I’m passionate about volunteering and giving back to those who are less fortunate and to my community—volunteering helps make the world a more united place.

One of my favorite things to do happens on January 1st in Philadelphia. Next time we talk, ask me about the Mummers Parade, and you’ll learn about another family and neighborhood tradition that I’m deeply proud of and passionate about.
