Vendor Advisory Spotlight | Mark Gammon

In our latest blog installment, we shine a spotlight on Mark Gammon, CEO of Cap America and a valued member of our Vendor Advisory Board. Mark’s leadership and insights have been incredibly valuable in steering our collaborative efforts toward mutual growth. Read below as we continue to showcase the synergy that propels our collective journey forward.

How do you define the mission and purpose of your role within your organization?

I was welcomed into the Cap America fold seven years ago, with the mission of making this family-owned company generational. My role is to continue to build upon the foundation that Phil Page laid over 35 years ago, ensuring that Cap America is the leading headwear supplier for years to come. There is an entire community surrounding Cap America that depends upon its continued success and growth, and that is what motivates me to continue to grow and achieve professionally. We employ about 400 people in a town of close to 4,000, and each of our employees and their families depend upon our longevity.

What motivates you to keep growing in your work and professional knowledge?

My own family is also a source of motivation; my wife and son are both truly what inspire me day after day. I was lucky enough to marry not only my best friend, but a partner; someone who supports and encourages me day after day. And together we are blessed to be raising one of the kindest, hardest working kids I’ve ever known. Whether I’m at home, in the office, or on the road, I strive to be my best each day because of them.

What are your favorite hobbies and activities?

Besides my family and promotional headwear, my other passions are hunting and golf, and I’ve had the opportunity to travel all over the world to do both. I relish the fact that both activities vary between moments of exhilaration and tranquility, which allow me to reflect on life and how positively remarkable it is.
