We’re thrilled to welcome Kim Newell, VP of National Accounts for Gold Bond, to this month’s Vendor Advisory spotlight. Kim is new to the Vendor Advisory Board, but has been a fierce partner and supporter of ASB for years! Learn more about Kim and her industry insights below!
How do you define the mission and purpose of your role within your organization?
As the VP of National Accounts, my mission is always to represent the amazing team behind the scenes at Gold Bond that you may never see. From our production teammates to customer support, they make my job easy and always make me look good. Therefore, my mission is always to make sure what they do does not go unnoticed by sharing the Gold Bond mission and service levels with our clients. With all the hard work and dedication they put in day in and day out I try to emulate that in the relationships I share with our clients and the dedication put in to meet their needs.

What motivates you to keep growing in your work and professional knowledge?
Never being satisfied or becoming complacent, and always wanting to be more for my team and my clients. In addition, I am motivated by others, I firmly believe in surrounding yourself with people that are smarter and more successful than you are. I get that at Gold Bond. I am surrounded by other teammates and management that exude the best everyday and this pushes me to be better, do better and do more daily. I always look to have a different perspective, something no one else has thought of, and with the Gold Bond team you really have to push yourself outside the box to bring a different perspective to the table.

What are your favorite hobbies and activities?
First and foremost spending time with my husband, Brian, and as empty nesters we cherish anytime we get to spend with our son Carrington. He is a sophomore in college studying Civil Engineering. In my spare time, I love cruising in my Challenger Scat Pack. What most people don’t know about me, but is my absolute favorite thing to do is, attending the No Prep Kings and small tire drag races!
