In the spotlight this month is John Abbott, the driving force behind Abbott Label. Let’s get to know John Abbott, his journey, and the insights he brings to our thriving ASB community.
How do you define the mission and purpose of your role within your organization?
As the President of Abbott Label, I feel that it is my responsibility to help provide our internal teams with the tools, training, and motivation they need to perform their jobs in excellence. I strive to spend as much time as possible with our customer service and production teams to express the importance of being particular and the overall value that this type of thought process brings to our customer base. It is my goal to see that all of our loyal distributor partners receive an unparalleled level of service when trading with our organization.
What motivates you to keep growing in your work and professional knowledge?
Our industry is constantly evolving. I firmly believe that what isn’t growing, is dying, and that complacency is the enemy of progress. To better serve the employees of Abbott Label and our customer base, it is my job to keep myself abreast of all our industry changes. I am blessed to serve on the board of Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute where I get to collaborate and learn about anything and everything new.
What are your favorite hobbies and activities?
Spending time with my family and friends, golfing, mentoring the youth, and all things Longhorns, Cowboys & Mavericks.
